Saya baru sahaja menerima beberapa foto spyshots bahagian dalaman Proton GSC @ P2-30A yang telah dibuat secara peek-a-boo sebentar tadi. Tiada sebarang info yang diberikan, hanya tertulis “Interior Proton GSC @ P2-30A peek-a-boo”. Jika dibandingkan dengan spyshots terbaru di Paultan, sah ini adalah Proton GSC @ P2-30A.

Saya begitu tertarik dengan corak fabrik dan kemasan kulit untuk model ini, nampak lebih menarik daripada model Proton sebelumnya. Apa kata anda pula? Tak dapat spyshots penuh, dapat gambar macam ni pun jadi lah kan! 🙂

      Merah ni utk projection dlm photgraphy sesuai la.. or dlm bilek X-Ray.. be rational lah sama design..ergonomics mata.. bukan mahal mana pun change LED color..same cost je..

      • asalnya dulu pengaruh drpd Lotus. Zaman tengku mahaleel kn kete semua nak sport-inspirated design and function. tp oleh kerana nak tukar balik kang takut org keliru, anggap proton ni xde kelainan, so dikekalkan saja la.

        kalau korang masuk kereta korea (Asia) Hyundai dan Kia, diorang pun pakai left-handed signal and light stalk. mungkin sbb pengaruh peter shryer kot. tp xde masalah pun.


        • rasanya dia ada kena mengena dgn west-east engine against east-west engine. sbb tu kalau kita tgk kat engine compartment ada beza kedudukan antara engine dan transmission.

    1- the seat has a good lumbar support.
    2- a correct dimension of steering reach distant.

    looks like some silly request isn’t it,
    the fact that you’ll be everyday in 5 years sitting, driving, holding the steering wheel and pressing the pedals,
    BUT if it wrong, it’d be 5 years your are in a wrong driving position, we are paying for discomfort.

    HOPE PROTON LOOK INTO THIS SERIOUSLY.
    and this is the ONE to show how proton do or do not concern about driving ergonomic and anthropomorphic FACTOR in designing proton cars.

    anyway, congratulation PROTON, but ill be looking those two in the first place when the car is released.. if those two failed, then still proton cant make a correct car.

          • Betul.. patut FLX dah upgrade Interior.. sebab kereta tu sangat laku berbanding line-up proton yang lain.. atas faktor apa yang menyebabkan interior nya tak di upgrade pun kita tak tau..

            Tapi sebenar-benarnya design tu inspired dari Lotus.. saga LMST, Saga BLM/FLX..Gen.2/Persona.. Neo.. banyak inspired by Lotus interior. Yang ni KESALAHAN besar yang sebenarnya tak berlaku pada awal2 dulu. Memasukan interior supercar ke dalam kereta daily use. Bukan derang tak de tujuan, tapi salah tujuan.. Sungguh tak seswai..

            Mgkin GSC ni akan mengubah semula apa yang tersalah satu ketika dahulu..

          • Aku owner Saga FLX 2012. Aku tak kisah sangat pasal interior sebab bukan aku nak tidur dalam kereta 24 jam. Aku guna untuk drive dan simple interior sudah mencukupi. Takde sebab juga untuk aku belai/usap dashboard kereta aku setiap masa. Ianya sekadar dashboard for a cheap car. Aku tak kisah sangat pasal hard plastic ke apa sebab seperti yang aku cakap, kalau aku nak belai/usap, baik aku buat pada bini aku. 😀

            Aku setuju dengan point kau bahawa interior perlu menarik dan sepatutnya Proton ambil iktibar darinya. Cuma kalau nak refer pada Saga, kereta ni dah nak EOL (end of line), rasanya setahun dua lagi akan keluar Saga baru so pointless nak komplen dah. Baik kita scrutinise GSC yang akan keluar sebab kalau tak puas hati, sekurang-kurangnya kita boleh komplen dan dalam 2 tahun kemudian bila mereka buat updates, mungkin boleh guna idea kita.

            Sekali lagi pasal harga. India tu walaupun nampak negara miskin, tapi middle class dia 2 – 3 kali ganda lagi ramai dari rakyat kita. Jadi kuasa beli mereka jauh lebih besar. Nissan tu dah global brand dan volume dia banyak, mestilah cost per car dia lagi murah berbanding Proton. Sebenarnya kalau Proton nak maju dan jual banyak, dia tak boleh target negara macam negara Arab, Australia dan UK. Patut target negara Amerika Selatan, Afrika, Eastern Europe dan India. Buat macam Kia/Hyundai buat. Bina banyak-banyak kereta pada harga murah dah dump ke negara-negara macamtu. Guna profit dari sana untuk terjah negara maju.

            Paling penting, kalau nak murah juga di Malaysia, suruh gomen turunkan duti eksais!

        • Mmm… bagi saya, dashboard datsun go X ler cantik mana. Cuma agak kemas dari segi teknik joining part yg x begitu ketara. Mgkin model2 terbaharu proton nanti kena pandai guna teknik2 nie gak:). Model proton sebelum nie mmg banyak mendapat pengaruh DnA produk lotus. Kadang2 mmg agak canggung bagi mereka yg nk merasai ‘keharmonian’ rekabentuk dalaman bagi sebuah kereta2 biasa dgn suntikan elemen sport dlm produk lotus:) Tapi x ler teruk mana. Cuma fit n fitting masih perlu diperbaiki lagi utk model2 mendatang. Itu jer.

          Sekadar lawak pagi jer. ahaha…. Ada sama ker?:) Muahaa..:

            datsun Go yg bikin kt India tu pun menarik lag dr SAGA yg
            sbg contoh benchmark.. ksng sku bnding dgn Toyota ada yg mengamuk plak..

            aku bukan pemuja Datsun atau brand2 lain.. keta cap taugeh india pun lebih menarik dr SAGA yg ‘full spec’ hebat tu.. aku rase klu jual kt india mmg terjual 1 juta unit lah saga.. kan..

          • interior saga memang tak berapa cantik pun.
            datsun go? ok sket la. tapi secara praktikalnya aku lagi suka dashboard saga dari datsun go. glove box takde, cup holder takde, awkward gear lever positioning, tempat letak kad dan duit syiling di tengah takde. radio pun takde ke? tachometer yang pelik dan terlalu simple.

            memang diakui lebih cantik sedikit dari saga tapi dari segi functionality kurang.


          • Kau kena faham..kat sini ramai fanatik proton. kau tegur pasal kualiti dashboard saga pun silap2 org cakap mata kau rabun.

            Proton bab2 rekabentuk dashboard, fit and finish ni mmg dorang amalkan sikap “asal boleh” je. Aku pakai saga LMST dulu, taulah macamana proton buat kereta tu walhal original proton saga nampak lebih kualiti dahsboardnya.

            even sampai skrg, ada certain aspek pada proton preve yg masih mengamalkan sikap “asal boleh”. Patut proton hire sorang inspector perempuan yang cerewet untuk check pemasangan kereta yg dibuat oleh lineman.


  • Design interior GSC ni nampaknya heavily influence by For Focus 2014!

    1. Air cond outlet kiri kanan monitor pun rupa macam Ford Focus.
    2. Meter frame tu pun ala-ala Ford Focus.
    3. Bila tengok kat button bawah monitor atas air cond knob tu bole hnampak function parking sensor dan ESC yang boleh ON/OFF.
    4. Nampaknya DRB_HICOM dah buat study apa yang pengguna mahu.
    5. Harga tak tahu, tapi kalau ikut Suprima S punya pricing benchmark, boleh jadi dalam RM45-RM50k kereta ni (full spec). SV boleh la dapat RM30k rasanya.
    6. Lepas launch ni bolehlah proceed ke model gantian SAGA pula (stretched 3 box GSC)


  • Adakah fuel gauge die cuma ade min and max jer mcm dlm gambar 1st tuh..x nampak takuk tgh atau quater.. Kalo ye mmg ergo out.s
    Red color sbb mata kita more alert to red light sgt noticable for safetyla. Tapi kalo nk cantik letakla biru atau pink pun okay.


      • Mmm… bukan ker warna merah tu warna utk lebih ‘alert’?:) Sebab tu warna red nie guna utk danger signal atau hazard tu. Warna biru bagi sy sebenarnya akan lebih mengantuk utk long distance drive. Kn warna biru mendamaikan?. Patutnya proton kena cuba warna2 baru seperti warna hijau pucuk pisang@green epal:) Nie ar warna2 segar utk pemanduan lama. Sbb tu kat library2 om puteh cover lampu study sumer warna green epal. Supaya pembacaan lebih segar n minda lebih galak!:) hehe.

    i can drive a lesser refined proton car, but i cant take any wrong measurement of car control that lead to a wrong driving posture.

    just like,
    i can wear cheap cloth no problem,, but i simply cannot accept a wrongly tailored cloth.

    hate to talk about this over and over. ive been lenient with high acceptability. but measurement is something need accuracy is a no compromise,

    I CANNOT UNDERSTAND THIS.
    sorry to all dear friends , you might hate me for raising the same issue.

    if proton dont look at this issue, and the mistake is carried over to this new car. i will part myself from being a proton enthusiast. but then what should i drive,,,,,,

    very easy,, proton must go global standard. global standard in every area in making car and the car itself must have global standard in its technicality and presentation.
    because global car means business. actually we don’t need to overly promote the product because the product speaks itself.

    so the formula is easy, to derive the formula its a big task that need commitments and this is the issue.

    are we really sincerer trying to make a good product that one day it reaches the benchmark . or simply the existence of proton is just to become distractors for people to choose other product even-though its pricey. the perception is its ok to pay more because u will get batter product.,,,,,,,,, quite a long term hidden agenda.

    nearly 30 years, isnt that fishy.

    i dont mean to say in a such way, but its nearly 30 years now, where and what is the direction?
    we have a clear formula to set for the target. we wont hit the target if don’t follow the formula.
    so the answer is – our choice . its our choice to make things stuck in 30 years. we make it stuck. someone’s decision making things stuck. its a DECISION MAKER.

      • Kalau masyarakat global nak terima, kualiti kete pun kena tahap global, setakat dpt ancap 5 star x cukup. Pembeli nk kete yg fuel efficient, gud fit n finish quality, acceptable level of NVH.
        Exterior n interior design yg cantik. Kalau proton boleh buat gitu, tentu ramai akan beli.

    The Proton Savvy replacement could be unveiled at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show

    Our spies have sent us an additional batch of photos with the Proton Savvy successor which gives us the opportunity to have a look at the interior cabin.

    These prototypes were spotted outside of a facility located in Sweden owned by Continental as they are currently testing the small five-door hatchback which according to Proton is going to be a global model. Set to be unveiled in the next few months, the B-segment model will replace the Savvy in Proton’s lineup and is currently referred to as the Global Small Car (GSC).

    The modest interior cabin shows the Malaysian automaker will offer the new model with leather upholstery, an automatic transmission and what appears to be a smallish touchscreen display for the infotainment system. The all-black cabin is spiced up with a few silver touches on the door handles, handbrake lever and on the multimedia system.

    We also notice a three-spoke steering wheel with built-in buttons, along with a power socket and USB connectivity in the lower central area of the dashboard. The interior is not finalized as these prototypes came with a red emergency stop button which obviously won’t make it to the production version.

    The Proton Savvy replacement is slated to go on sale before the end of the year and could be unveiled as early as next month at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show.

    Here’s how to install Android apps on Proton Suprima S’ Infotainment System

    The more you know. Since our hands-on test with Proton Suprima S’ Infotainment System last year, one of the things we’ve been wondering was whether it’s possible to sideload Android apps, since there is no Google Play Store, or any Google Play Services for that matter.

    With its Android version now confirmed, we’ve been presented with another question. I believe since Gingerbread, the default setting was to block app sideloading from ‘unknown sources’. During our hands-on with the head unit, there was no such setting for me to disable, leading me to believe it’s not possible to install third party Android apps.

    But it turns out it is possible, and quite straightforward too. Azlan, the same person who tipped us on the Android version, led us to how he was able to sideload any Android app. Here’s how you could do it too, with just a little technical know-how required:

    Download our favorite Android file manager, ‘ES File Explorer File Manager’ to your Android
    Launch it, go to App Manager, long-press itself, and select Backup. This will make a copy of the APK to the ‘backups’ folder on your SD card
    Rename it to something short like ‘es.apk’
    Transfer it to a USB stick (via USB OTG or via a computer)
    Plug in the USB drive to the USB port on your Proton Suprima S
    On the head unit, launch the Browser and type in the following path: ‘file:///mnt/sdcard/udisk/sda1/es.apk’
    You’ll get a warning pop-up to which you’ll choose to proceed with the installation
    Profit!

    The reason why we would want to pick a file manager is because once it’s installed, subsequent sideloading is just as easy as plugging in the USB stick (loaded with your APKs) and use ES File Explorer to run them, instead of having to type in the path on the Browser each time. Just try not to download APKs from the web, but use the method described on Step Number 1 and 2.

    But of course, not all apps will be compatible, since the display is resistive and probably doesn’t support multitouch (heck, it can’t even properly handle my single-touch). Also, many developers have begun abandoning Gingerbread and only support Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich or greater.

    Azlan actually obtained this handy piece of how-to from the folks at ‘Suprima S owners club’. Currently, they are still trying to make Waze work, not because it can’t be installed, but because of how Suprima S will disable its Wi-Fi radio when the handbrake is released. By the way Azlan, you guys could always install an offline GPS app, no?

    Update (February 13th): Azlan followed up saying that Waze actually spat out an error about not having access to the SD card (where Lokatoo is stored). Apparently the head unit is factory-rooted, however they did not try to install SuperSU or do any mods. Yet. 720p video isn’t fully supported. Video playback on the console is fine, until when the reverse gear is engaged, where the display will be taken over by the reverse camera view.

    Some have mentioned that the Wi-Fi can be re-enabled manually in Settings. However, the latest version now is 7.26 (from the original 7.07), so that loophole may have been patched, if there ever was a loophole.

    So here I am, calling upon all Proton Suprima S owners to give it a shot, and tell us whether the Wi-Fi can be re-enabled or not. Better yet, has someone already hacked it to keep the Wi-Fi turned on at all times?

    We rarely post news on Malaysia’s biggest carmaker and owner of Lotus Cars, Proton (itself a subsidiary of DRB Hicom), but it just so happens that our scoop photographers stumbled upon a prototype of a new model that is currently known under the codenames P2-30A and GSC for “Global Small Car”.

    It’s a B-segment supermini with Proton aspiring to offer it in more markets around the world than it usually does with other products.

    Last year, Proton launched a local online competition in Malaysia, asking viewers to submit a name for the car. At the time, it mentioned the following: “The car is stylish, hip and compact, with advanced, innovative design and features. It’s spacious, comfortable and extremely practical. It’s fun to drive!”. An announcement on the winner and consequently, the name of the GCS, is pending.

    While heavily camouflaged on the outside, the subcompact model seems to sport a modern appearance, and the same can be said about the interior, of which we have a much better view from these shots.

    The five-door hatch, which will be offered with a new generation of Proton engines, will launch before the end of 2014.
